Behind the Scenes

Hey, art lovers. It's been a while since I've posted anything art wise, but this weekend, I got a chance to check out a collage workshop. I haven't collaged since I was in art school but it was so much fun! I think I want to do a huge one. If y'all are in Winston-Salem and looking for a place where creatives can collaborate in a chill environment, go check out @houseofgertrud. Morning art lovers! Here's another late night piece. I need to be in bed so I'll go now but first I had to answer the call. Y'all know how it is. I'll post the natural lit piece later today. 😴 Oh and I think I'm gonna name this piece Midnight Tea.

Hey art lovers. Just showing off this Caravaggian fig in the natural light. I'm pretty proud of it. The fig is such a strong fruit. I hope I was able to do it justice. 😊

Hey art lovers! I'm up painting in the dark. Got a vibe going on but as usual I don't know if I'm in love with this strange painting yet. We'll see what the morning light will bring. Sometimes my pieces are like leftover lasagna. They're better the next day 😄.

Another relaxing piece created last night. Fairytale forest anyone? 😁 This was such a fun painting. I know we're halfway through winter and heading for spring soon but fall was in the air for me. I've gotta be honest and say that most of my year is spent waiting for Halloween anyway so I'm always ready to welcome a magical forest of fall foliage. Anyway, I'll share again soon. I have tons of work to upload to jeandamen.com. They'll all be available for purchase. Stay tuned.

Hey art lovers! Long time no see. I know. It's gotten that way now. Anyway, I got a little me time in last night.

Hmm, I'm way more pleased with this one than I thought I'd be when I painted it last night. I don't know if it's a year ender but who knows.😋

Hey art lovers. It's official. I'm too tired to even do the things I love. Yes, even painting. I don't want this to be how I end up! I have to find some kind of work, life balance for my day job and my home life. Well wish me luck. This is an attempt to relax. And it worked as it usually does. It's just when I go to sleep that I can't seem to settle down. 😩 this warm-up probably looks like the inside of my brain right now. Lol

I meant to post this a while ago. This is my mom-in-love's house. These are all works that have been accumulated over the years. All pieces are done by myself or my son with the exception of one that she painted over zoom with me.😁 I was so pleased to see that she framed her piece too! Justin even got in on the action. He painted the lion. See art isn't just to sell. It's to spread love. Thank you @genoicehampton for showing our talents your love and appreciation.
